환상의 꿈나래 포근한 이불 삼아

가지런히 손잡고 얼은 몸 녹이던

은갈치들

겨울날씨답지 않게 맑은 아침

햇살의 눈부심에 기지개 펴고 일어나

넓고 푸른 하늘바다 꼬리쳐 휘저으며

부지런히 희망의 새 하루를 준비한다

잠에서 깨어 창 밖을 내다보니 겨울날씨답지 않게 화창한 파란 하늘에, 가늘고 기다란 하얀 구름들이 일렬 자세로 가득하더군요. 

이 광경을 보는 순간, 갑자기 어렸을 적 엄마가 시장에서 사와 구워주던 맛있는 은갈치 생각이 물씬 나더라고요.

Winter Clouds

Inside the warm blanket made out of fantasy dreams

Hands held together in an attempt to warm up their frozen body

Slivery scabbards

On a clear morning unlike the harsh winter weather

Blinding sunlight forces them to get up and stretch

Now, busy in preparation for a new day of hope

Stirring the whole wide blue sky-sea with their tails

When I woke up and looked outside of my window, sky was clear blue unlike the cold winter weather. 

There, long and skinny while clouds lined up and filled the sky.

When I saw this, I suddenly remembered the delicious pan-fried silvery scabbards that my mother used to make for us when I was a young girl.
